And HERE we go! Although I still have a full week left in Teacher’s College, the wait is finally over. You can start reading the first TWO pages of Prelude 11. Trust me, it’s been a very painful wait from my side as well. The chapter was scripted in full and the backgrounds completed by Mr. Romero since the beginning of school last August but I did not have a moment to spare to work on anything these past 10 months. As more time frees up, I have been playing catch up with the comic as much as possible. Prelude 11 Page 5 is fully drawn and I have started work on Page 6, so I am hoping to have weekly updates throughout the rest of the chapter. So we’ll see how it all play out.

Hard to believe that it’s almost the middle of 2012 and I have only updated the site a total of five times. But fear not, my long, painful year in Teacher’s College is almost over. I only have about two-weeks or so left and I have already began working in new pages for the comic. The first updates that I planning will be new pages for Prelude 11. HERE is a Sneak Peak of Page 5. (That’s right! I have already drawn the first four and I am currently colouring them). The other update in the works is that final page of the Beloved Terrorrist Scene. It should be up shortly as well. So Stay Tuned.

The comics (both Prelude, Decapolis and everything else) are always on my mind, and I hope to have some time to work on them soon.

I have waited a long long time for this day but here it is. Finally I get to advance the story that we have been following for so long now. I have joked with some of my friends that at this rate, I will finish all of Prelude just in time to print both the TPB both the first run and the 10th anniversary edition. Let’s hope that is not the case!

So yeah here is the beginning of Prelude 11. As with Part 10, The talented Mr. Romero will be in charge of the environmental design. The one key difference this time around in from the previous Part is that Mr. Romero will be in charge of all backgrounds in all pages. (Previously, I had given him selected backgrounds to work on.) What this will mean is a faster page rate, I am hoping.I have also decided to have fewer updates this year but more meaningful ones. And so the next update for Prelude 11 might not be right away but it will be a nice one (at least the first 4 pages of the chapter.)

University is almost over, I only have 3 & 1/2 months left. Once I am done school I will have more time to work in the comic this year. As to where I will be once school finishes, only God knows. I am hoping for somewhere warm.

And that’s it for now. Prelude 11 is coming along nicely and surely; and are some new pages for Part 2 of Vol. 1 Trust me, it’s gonna be worth the wait when that is done.

School is being very very time consuming but at least I am making some progress in the comic. Here are some more updates:

‘Prelude’ 11 is coming along nicely as well. I am planning on having updates soon. Not sure what is going to happen after school is over this year but I am planning to have at least three chapters completed of Prelude for this year. We’ll see how that pans out.

The beloved terrorist scene remake is almost complete as well. Soon.

And so begins a new year here at Faythstudios.com. School has already began for me so I won’t be updating the site as often as I did during December. Still, I was able to post 105 updates on the site during 2011; that’s not too bad for 52 weeks!

This first update of 2012 brings you a Sneak Peak into what I am  currently working on: Colouring the rest of ‘Prelude’ Part 10! I will be posting a nice update with the first few pages of that chapter soon. In the meantime, take a look at poor Black Bobby HERE who is having a really bad day… in full colour! The title for this post says ‘Page Remake’ and although it is mostly colouring, I will be replacing some of the panels on those earlier pages of chapter 10 that I am not happy with.

Speaking of Remakes, I still have to finish the last page of the Beloved Terrorist Scene from ‘Prelude’ Chapter 3, and add colours to the Cover of Prelude 11. All that will get done soon as I get a chance.

And this brings us to the end of another year. I will keep this short: wishing everyone a great 2012. God sure knows I could use a better year than this one that is ending tonight. ‘Till Next Time.

A while back I posted a remake of Pages 1 to 5 of Prelude Part 4 on the site and shared them with my buddy Alex Veljko (Creator of Leonid.) Always the jokester, he asked me why there were some many shawls on Page 2 of the update (Seen HERE.) I told him those were Zig-Zag lines which I love to draw, it’s a technique that Mike Mignola uses often on his work and  no one seems to mind it when he does it. They do add more time to each page, but they are a lot of fun to draw. Anyway, he sent me an email and said to me to take a closer look at the page. He was kind enough to point out all the shawls on the page HERE.

I know most of you are not checking the site during the holidays, I am sure wherever you are you are probably having a great time and that is cool. The thing is I have been so busy with Teacher’s College this past year that if I don’t update the site now that I have some time off, I won’t get to do it once school starts again. So enjoy all the updates once you get back from wherever you might be during the holidays.
