GEOVANNI FLORES is a comic book creator, writer, artist, and educator. He is the creator of Decapolis, his ongoing superhero saga, and the writer of The Violent Bear It Away, a period adventure set in 1920s Hong Kong.

For much of his life, Geovanni has been creating his own characters, worlds, and stories. But at this juncture in his life, his attention has turned toward something very different.

After years of making comics, Geovanni began asking himself what he truly wanted to devote his time and abilities to. The answer was Scripture, and specifically the Book of Revelation.

Revelation is an attempt to create a complete, word-for-word illustrated edition of the final book of the Bible. Not a summarization. Not a reimagining. Every verse, in order, approached with careful biblical, historical, and visual research.

It is an ambitious undertaking, but one Geovanni hopes he has been called to pursue. At this point in his life, he wants to use the abilities he has been given to create something that will truly matter.

His hope is simple: to approach the text with reverence, bring John’s extraordinary visions to life, and create a work that helps readers see and engage with the Book of Revelation in a new way.
